The importance of language policy and linguistic security issues in Russia is highlighted by modern geopolitical and domestic challenges. Joint responsibility from both the government and all civil institutions is required to search for new solutions and to develop new linguistic security models.
The main objective of the international scientific-educational forum “Language Policy and Linguistic Security” is to enhance linguistic security in Russia and to increase Russian social and economic potential on the international arena. The forum is held in order to discuss the national language policy and linguistic security problems and to find ways to solve them; to boost an open dialogue between countries, a dialogue based on mutual cooperation and respect for sovereignty of countries and cultural legacy their peoples.
The forum serves as a platform for linguists, culture experts, political analysts, language methodologists, and experts in international relations and cross-cultural communication.
